District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro’s office on Thursday (July 18) announced an upcoming state offer allowing a low-cost way for late child support payers to get their driver’s licenses reinstated.
From Aug. 1-Sept. 30, 2019, the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services will accept applicants for its “On the Road Again” program. Non-custodial parents who have had their driver’s licenses suspended because of past-due child support payments will have the opportunity to see their licenses reinstated by paying two months of court-ordered child support, $100 toward past-due support, and an administrative fee, if court ordered.
More information on how to apply for the program can be found in the attached flyer.
